Re.Use.Full is excited to announce a Repair Café on July 20, 2024 from 9:00am-1:00pm at Matt Ross Community Center 8101 Marty St, Overland Park, KS 66204. If you have a broken lamp, small appliance, computer, bike or piece of clothing that needs some fixing, save the date and bring it on over. We throw away a lot of stuff, often because it’s cheaper to replace rather than repair them or we just don’t know how to fix it. That’s where Repair Cafés come in!
What is a Repair Cafe?
There are now more than 2,500 Repair Cafés across the world. You’ll find tools and materials to help you make any repairs you need to clothes, furniture, small appliances, computers, lamps, bicycles, jewelry and more you bring from home. You’ll also find people with a variety of repair skills to help out. Together with these volunteers, you can have your broken items repaired instead of needing to replace your broken items. We’ll be hosting more of these free meeting places.
Volunteers Still Needed
We still need a few volunteers for our July 20 Repair Café, sponsored by the City of Overland Park, KS. We would love to have you join us.
If you’re someone who enjoys tinkering or problem-solving to get something working again, we’re looking for volunteers! We are definitely in need of people with some bicycle repair knowledge. Please email Leslie Scott to learn more at [email protected].
We also need a few people to help with check-in. Sign up to volunteer here.
