Priority Climate Action Plan

MARC’s Draft PCAP describes high-priority, near term, implementation-ready measures that will reduce climate pollution in the Kansas City metro area. The measures reflect ideas and projects contributed by members of the community, local governments, nonprofits and others through a months-long community engagement process. Due on March 1, this plan is the first deliverable of the planning phase (Phase 1) for EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) program. The emission-reducing measures included in the plan must support projects and programs that will be included in Phase 2 Implementation Grant applications to the EPA. MARC will submit a regional application on April 1, 2024.
