Join My Region Wins on Wed. June 5th from 4:30-7:30 at the KC Public Library Central’s Helzberg Auditorium (14 West 10th Street Kansas City, MO 64105) to view “Cooked: Survival by Zip Code”. A co-production of Judith Helfand Productions, Kartemquin Films and Independent Television Service (ITVS) with funding provided by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB).
This film examines the 1995 Chicago record breaking heat wave that resulted in over 700 deaths. The film focuses on the people most affected by natural disasters and the politics involved. This film screening is hosted by Carl Stafford of My Region Wins who will also share a call to action to attendees.
