About the event
We have a growing crowd of folks who show their love to our BOON AREA 1 initiative. MY REGION WINS! has turned a once blighted/vacant lot in the Noble neighborhood into an environmental, nature-based, interactive, functional art installation. A gathering place for sharing ideas, talent, food, music, art, and a love of natural systems and cooperation. Camaraderie and conversation, the aesthetic awesomeness, and the presence of nature’s care make each engagement a special experience for all ages.

What will volunteers do?
The tasks typically look like light yard work. Litter abatement, sweeping sidewalks, pulling specific plants and planting others, training and securing a living fence vine… the tasks are all in service of the gentle transformation of the corner lot into a modern Zen garden using our region’s native plant varieties.
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?
Wear clothing you’re comfortable doing yard work in, but something you don’t mind sitting in while you chat with others around a firepit. Bring your greatness! If you like to paint, read, play games bring those too. Displaying your greatness at BOON AREA 1 is one of the best ways you can give back!
