Tired of all the waste and single-use plastic associated with cleaning and body products? With that in mind, mother/daughter duo, Kerry and Barbette, started Suds Refillery. The goal of Suds Refillery is to grow the community of environmentally-minded consumers in the KC area. Suds Refillery encourages you to bring in old bottles and containers to refill them with new soaps, suds or personal care products. We even refill candles!
How do you save?
How do you save with Suds Refillery? First, you save plastic from entering the landfill by reusing your containers. Second, you save money by purchasing only the products you need and not paying for a new container too.
Candle Refill Dates
The dates are set for candle refilling! Bring in your empty candle vessels to refill at Suds Refillery on these dates:

Giving Back to KC Metro Community
In support of our Kansas City Metro community, we are raising funds to provide and maintain a 30 gallon drum of laundry detergent for Kansas City’s Operation Breakthrough. Suds Refillery is accepting donations in-store or mail us a check with memo “operation breakthrough.” We are working on enabling an on-line donation option for this project.
Suds Refillery – How It Works
- Step 1 – Bring your clean, dry, empty bottles to one of our pop-ups. If you don’t have a bottle of your own, you can grab one from our basket of freebies or purchase a new refillable container from us.
- Step 2 – Next, we’ll weigh your empty container to get the “tare” weight. By doing this, we can subtract the weight of the container once you fill it up, so you are not paying for the weight of the container.
- Step 3 – Fill up each of your containers with as much soap or personal care products you need!
- Step 4 – Weigh your container one more time-this time with your new sudsy goodies inside! We will calculate the cost of the item’s weight, minus the weight of the container.
