Metropolitan Energy Center (MEC) is busier than ever! We are seeking talented, mission-driven people to help our communities conserve energy and be healthier where we work, live and play. If you’re passionate about using your skills to fight for a sustainable future, we want you.
Metropolitan Energy Center (MEC) is a Kansas City nonprofit with a nearly 40-year history of transforming energy use in the building and transportation sectors — the two largest sources of greenhouse gases in the U.S. — while raising awareness to improve the air quality for our entire region
Through our Building Performance and Sustainable Transportation programs, MEC has established ourselves as experts on energy efficiency in the built environment and cleaner, more efficient transportation technologies. We use our experience, knowledge, and resources to empower businesses, communities, and municipalities across Kansas and Missouri to adopt and advocate for cleaner, more efficient practices.
All workers enjoy
- Flexible scheduling and teleworking

MEC offers teleworking options, as appropriate for the work duties and at the discretion of supervisors.
