Tour of Missouri Organic Facilities

Missouri Organic Recycling is a large industrial recycling facility.

We will start at our 40 highway location where we will view the mulch processing operation, leaf collection facility , the custom mixing area and bulk sales of compost and soil mixes. Then the group will drive two blocks to tour Urban Lumber. Large urban trees are sawn and dried and turned into beautiful hardwood lumber. Then the tour takes a 20 minute drive to 5923 Nebo Hills Road in Liberty. This is where MOR makes its compost and processes 50 tons of food waste per day. We will also tour our biochar production plant which included a large boiler for steam heating and a turbine generating substantial electricity. Please wear shoes suitable for dirt or wet surfaces. Consider a dust mask if you have sensitivities.
