The world revolves, and so should our stuff. A circular economy is one where the production and consumption of goods involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible.
On August 22, 2024, from 11:30 am – 3:00 pm, MId-America Regional Council (MARC offices, 600 Broadway, Suite 200, Kansas City, MO 64105) invites you once again to join us to discuss our changing circular economy. Our special guest speakers Sami Aaron & Anne Melia of The Resilient Activist will present topics relevant to every advocate: including examining and celebrating your efforts, reflecting and reimagining your efforts to lighten your load, and learning how to cultivate joy and beauty as a regular practice in your life.
Agenda:
- 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: Meet, greet and eat
- 12:15-12:45 p.m.: Introductions (around the room)
Visioning: Where have we gone and where is this leading? - 12:45-1:00 p.m.: Break
- 1:00-2:00 p.m.: Celebration as Self-Care: Strengthening Resilience with Sami Aaron & Anne Melia of The Resilient Activist

A discussion will follow about what can be done together instead of alone to build a circular economy here and now. Lunch will be provided and the event will wrap with an update on Circular KC.
