The Green Core Training (GCT) is recruiting for the next cohort of students. The GCT is an environmental literacy and workplace readiness training designed to prepare students for more than 100 different green jobs and to be leaders in their community. The class begins Monday, August 28, and runs for five-weeks, five days a week, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm each day. Lunch is provided.
Students who graduate from the program earn a stipend (a payment for attendance and participation); a certificate from the curriculum, Roots of Success; and complete a Pre-Apprenticeship with the U.S. Department of Labor as an “Environmental Specialist.” Green Core Training staff then assist program graduates with job placement in the field of their interest.
