Join Missouri Department of Conservation for Plumology 101–The Study of Feathers. From the smallest of hummingbirds to giant ostriches, birds are the only living animals with feathers! Discover how important they are, and all the other wonderful things that feathers do for our avian friends! This virtual presentation will cover the different types of feathers and feather anatomy. Join Bridging the Gap’s KC WildLands for a morning of seed collection and invasive species work in Shawnee Mission Park’s prairies and woodlands, then head over to locally-owned Station 3 Coffee Shop for some refreshments and well-deserved social time.
