What is the Kansas City Regional Climate Action Plan

The Kansas City Regional Climate Action Plan (CAP) aims to transform the metropolitan area into a more resilient, equitable and healthy community. An ambitious set of interrelated strategies will help to mitigate climate change by achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, and adapt to and bounce forward from the many risks climate change poses.

Climate Action KC is a compact of elected officials and community leaders that works throughout the Kansas City region to draw down greenhouse gases, improve climate resilience, invigorate the economy, promote public health and improve the collective quality of life.

Join Climate Action KC at this year’s Earth Festival, April 17th & 18th, to learn more about KC’s Regional Climate Action Plan.
