As buzz continues to build ahead of international soccer arriving in North America this summer, Bridging The Gap and the Arbor Day Foundation are joining forces to bring lasting environmental impact to Kansas City. On April 15th, Bridging The Gap’s Heartland Tree Alliance team will lead community volunteers in planting 50 trees along the Brush Creek Greenway east of Mary Williams Neal Community Center. These trees will help address local environmental priorities such as improving air quality, managing stormwater, and reducing urban heat, while also providing shared green spaces for residents to enjoy for years to come long after the tournament.
Please take a look at the events below and sign up if you are available to help!
