Join the Heartland Conservation Alliance (HCA) for our free runs and explore the trails along the Blue River! Two dates in September: 9/16/2025 or 9/30/2025.
This is a great way to meet fellow runners and see the natural beauty right here in Kansas City. As a proud charitable partner of the Garmin Kansas City Marathon, we’re thrilled to connect with the Kansas City running community. But you don’t have to be participating in one of the Garmin Kansas City Marathon races to join us—everyone is welcome!
Join us for a run or walk! We’ll meet at 6:30pm and end by 8:00pm by the Minor Park tennis courts (11477 Blue River Rd, Kansas City, MO 64137, USA) and take the Blue River Greenway Trail north, past the Alex George Wetland. Folks can go as far as feels comfortable.
We’ll have suggested routes available (3 mi, 5 mi, and 7 mi), but you’re also free to run (or walk!) your own distance and at your own pace. Routes can be found below, but feel free to run your own route if preferred. All paces welcome!
The suggested routes are paved and stroller friendly. We will meet near the sidewalk from the parking lot, look out for a green and white event here sign.
