We’d like to highlight the contributions of one of our incredible board members, Roger Still, for his involvement in the opening of the Boone County Nature School in Columbia, MO!
The school is the first of its kind in the state of Missouri and contains a 111-acre campus, featuring aquatic, prairie, and woodland ecosystems for kids to learn about the natural world, sustainable agriculture, and more.
More than 2,000 5th graders from schools all over Boone County will learn at BCNS for seven days, spaced over three sessions to allow students to observe the native landscape during three different seasons. Outside of school hours, the nature school is also available to the broader Boone County community.
Join us in celebrating our colleague and this amazing contribution to nurturing the next generation of environmentalists in our state!
