Checkout all the offerings for June and this summer! Magpie Creative Reuse Center takes leftover supplies, remnant material, and waste products that might otherwise end up in the landfill, and makes them available for reuse through resale.
We love that this model prioritizes repurposing supplies for artists and makers, and that it creates a market for hard to sell items that regular thrift stores may not take. Reuse Centers put the “creative” in “creative reuse” by providing inspiration, education and resources that help people transform old materials for new purposes.
The scale of the waste problem we face requires many hands and we are ready to join in. Magpie Creative Reuse Collective is committed to being a leader in reuse and sustainability innovation in Kansas City, in partnership with the many other organizations that have taken on environmental conservation as their mission.

On Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22nd, Magpie will be pulling out EXTRA inventory. Fill-a-bags will be a suggested donation of $10 (!!!), which is over 50% off our original suggestion. Come shop our selection Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm-4pm…but especially on June 21st and 22nd
Creative Bug
Kids can transform waste materials into a creative bug collage sculpture at Mid-Continent Public Libraries. Check the MCPL website to register. Free to attend! Classes are throughout the summer starting June 2nd. They are filling up fast, so register today!

Donations: Accepted on Saturdays and Sundays 12pm-3pm AND Wednesdays 3pm-6pm Or by appointment. Our temporary site is at ArtsTech at1522 Holmes St, KCMO 64108. Volunteer: Creative reuse is a community effort, so let’s do it together. On Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesday, join our employees and board members at ArtsTech to accept donations and sort items into categories. To sign up for a volunteer slot, please click here.
