On Thursday, June 11th, KKFI 90.1 FM brought together a panel of climate activists to discuss Jeff Gibbs environmental documentary, “Planet of the Humans”; Michael Moore, Executive Producer.
This film has generated a lot of controversy among environmentalists because it argues that green energy is not as renewable as it appears. The film concludes that wind, solar and biomass do not address the planet’s dwindling resources, and therefor cannot be sustainable without lowing consumption.
The panel included the Climate Council‘s President (Bob Grove) and CCGKC partners Renew Missouri (James Owen, Executive Director) and Metropolitan Energy Center (Joy Ellsworth, Development Manager), along with Bill Griffith (Sierra Club), John Fish (350.org), and KKFI’s Bill Clause & Dave Mitchell.
