Attendees will learn how trusted, community-based energy support helps residents lower utility bills, access weatherization and clean energy programs, and reduce health risks linked to housing and extreme temperatures. The session discusses how resilience hubs function year-round as a welcoming neighborhood space that connects community to services such as energy assistance, health resources, digital access, and community programs, while also serving as critical lifelines during heat waves, winter storms, and power outages.
The presentation will also introduce community solar gardens and community microgrids, showing how locally shared solar power tied to a resilience hub can keep essential services running during outages and expand access to clean, affordable energy for everyone.
