Announced from Councilwoman Loar’s office and from the KCMO Office of Environmental Quality: Resolution No. 200005 will be held until the week of April 1 due to concerns for the public health of the anticipated large number of people who want to appear in support of the resolution. Written comments are still welcome via the online portal.  Use the “Witness Request” link at the top of the web page to submit your written views on the proposed KCMO Resolution 200005.  There is a space for submitting “notes.”

This Resolution proposes to update the City’s Climate Protection Plan, include new greenhouse gas reduction goals, incorporate into City policy and operations; and direct the City Manager to submit the new climate Protection Plan to Council.  Though there have been modifications to this Resolution since it first appeared in January 15, when it was held back for later deliberation, the version that is presently posted is the original iteration. A link to this earlier version is presently on the webpage for the agenda.  Hopefully this anomaly can be clarified prior to the hearing date so that the public if fully informed.
