KC Metro FarmLink is Live!

KC FarmLink connects producers seeking land with land owners who want to lease or sell their property to producers. It’s free, simple, and secure

KC FarmLink was created to fill the need for a repository of available farmland in the KC metro. For a long time, identifying these parcels relied on some sort of relational component, someone knowing about Cultivate KC or partners and also knowing a land owner who had a parcel to offer farmers. This platform offers a space for land owners to post their properties themselves, and land seekers to create profiles, browse listings, and reach out to any listing they think might be a fit.

KC FarmLink serves current and prospective producers in need of land on which to farm, as well as land owners in possession of usable farmland.

KC is in the unique position that we have seen what has happened to useable farmland in other metropolitan areas where development pressures and urban sprawl have resulted in massive farmland loss. We have experienced these pressures as well. Fortunately, we have the opportunity to do something about them before it’s too late. We can protect and preserve these properties AND offer a space for knowledgeable and eager growers who lack access to affordable land to create farm businesses and strengthen the local food system. KC FarmLink is an important puzzle piece in how we solve these problems.

Cultivate KC offers many additional wrap around resources to both land owners and land seekers. We also offer 1 on 1 technical assistance to these two groups as well.
