KC Climate Protection & Resiliency Plan: Climate District Strategy Sessions are Live

In 2020, City Council passed Resolution 200005, directing the City to update the 2008 Climate Protection Plan to include new greenhouse gas reduction goals, resiliency, and equity. The result will be a Climate Protection and Resiliency Plan that details strategies to reduce Kansas City’s contribution to climate change, and approaches to help our community adapt to the climate-related impacts we are already experiencing. Kansas City is hosting online, interactive workshops October 27th, 28th and 30th to discuss your climate action strategy ideas.  Learn more about the Climate Protection and Resiliency Plan (CPRP) efforts so far and let your voice be heard! Workshops are location based and will focus on strategies that would be effective in each area of Kansas City as well as citywide. Can’t attend your area workshop? All residents and interested parties are welcome to participate in any session. We will leave time to capture your ideas.
