Seeing the need innovation, in addition to the use of better batteries and superconductors, Hans Blix, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (1981-1997), in a Time Magazine opinion piece, calls for the use of nuclear power to address climate change. This is call is made with an understanding that though the risks are not zero the safety of nuclear power is very high.
