Following three years of decrease, carbon dioxide emissions rose in 2018 for the U.S. The Rhodium Group in its examination estimated an increase of 3.4%, the largest annual gain in more than 20 years, apart from 2010 when the economy made a sharp recovery from the Great Recession.
