A solar energy tech company backed by Bill Gates is claiming a major step towards solving climate change. Cutting-edge computer vision technology aligns a large array of mirrors to reflect sunlight to a precise target. The process creates heat exceeding 1,000 degrees Celsius – 1,832 Fahrenheit – that could replace coal, gas and oil in the production of cement steel and petrochemicals.
