Climate Hour now Available on All Streaming Platforms and Pacifica Radio Network

The Climate Hour began in 2020 as a KKFI 90.1 FM Thursday Night Special, hosted by our own Bob Grove. This 100,000 watt broadcast reached audiences from Topeka to Columbia, spotlighting Climate Council partners and amplifying their voices beyond the metro area.

In 2021, the Climate Hour became a regular part of EcoRadio KC’s monthly lineup, airing on the first Monday of each month. Its unique format of bringing together small groups of experts to discuss important climate issues made it stand out from the normal interview or news/talk radio format. And the innovation of broadcasting from an online meeting space instead of bringing guests into the radio studio, not only kept the show going throughout the covid pandemic but began drawing prominent guests from across the nation who could appear on the Climate Hour from the comfort of their home or office.

The Climate Hour became an independent podcast in 2022, expanding its reach to a broader national and international audience who get their news on their phones, tablets and computers.

Today, the the Climate Hour provides the best of climate news, technology and practices from a wide range of local and international experts in the field to an international audience throughout the U.S., Canada, South America, E.U., Norway, India, Thailand and Japan. Recent broadcasts have simultaneously hosted guests from Kansas City, the U.K., India, Peru and Hawaii; bringing an international perspective to local climate issues and an international audience to our local Climate Council partners.

Subscriptions to the Climate Hour are free on all major podcast platforms, including Pandora, Apple iTunes, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, Andriod, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and more; and the Climate Hour is available through the Pacifia Radio Network to over 200 radio staions nationwide.
