Rain or shine: we’ll only cancel for severe weather, & you’ll get an email at least 8 hours prior if that happens.
The Charles River is a beautiful place to watch the sunset on a late summer evening. Join us for a night of community, connection, and togetherness as we admire and appreciate Boston’s urban nature. Walkers will have the opportunity to learn about The Resilient Activist, including how to get involved and stay connected.
The evening will include a mix of nature-based activities and time to walk, talk, and celebrate the sunset!
Activities to Try Along the Way (optional!)
- • Nature Sit Spot — Pause your walk and find a stationary spot to sit for 5–10 minutes. Focus your attention on a single natural element, like a swaying leaf or a moving bug, to help anchor your mind.
- • The Color Walk — Challenge yourself to spot an object for every color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) as you move along the trail. Printable worksheet: https://www.mindfulteachers.org/blog/rainbow-walk
Printed copies of the worksheet and pens will be available courtesy of the event host.
Good to Know Before You Come
- • Bring a water bottle
- • This is an outdoor event, so bring sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
- • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes for walking — most of the route is wheelchair accessible with paved sidewalks, though some areas involve mowed grass or rocky trails
- • Children are welcome with an accompanying adult
- • An on-site porta-potty will be available
