Nine percent of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions are caused by agriculture. Recently, climate activists have begun a campaign to urge farmers to help reverse the warming trend. They say that farmers and ranchers have the capacity cut emissions produced by agricultural activity dramatically and could even offset them to make U.S. agriculture carbon neutral.
