The holiday season is a special time of hope, care and giving. Good will, peace on earth, and all those other wonderful aspirations that seem so far away in today’s world of climate denialism, war and greed.
Those of us that volunteer with the Climate Council continue to believe in a healthy world of peace and good will. We continue to educate, partner, and advocate for a world of sustainable lifestyles and pro-environmental policies. In this seaon of hope and giving, we ask you to make a tax-deductible donation to the Climate Council.
Difficult Times
These are difficult times. Our government has declared war on climate science and is actively working to remove climate issues from the collective consciousness. They are blocking funding to any and all environmental programs, including the Climate Council. Members of our Steering Committee have had federal listening sessions cancelled because they had climate in the titles. One of our venues has regretfully said we can no longer meet there because they’ve lost funding over hosting climate-related groups like ours. And now we read that they intend to revoke the C3 public charity status of any nonprofit that does climate work. But we’re not going to stop. With your help (which continues to be tax-deductble for the coming tax season), we can continue to educate, partner, and advocate for good climate science.
Your Donation
All of your donation (100%) goes to programming. Tangibles like our website, the Climate Directory, the Climate Digest; like our educational webinars and annual festivals. Really! From the beginning, the Climate Council has never paid a penny in personnel expenses. All of our staff and officers, including myself, volunteer our time because we’re passionate about life, about community, and about the planet we live on. Are you passionate about real climate science? Do you want to promote reliable climate solutions? Then donating to the Climate Council is the best possible use of your charity dollars.
Do you have hope for the future and passion for a healthy sustainable world? Then join us. Volunteer your time to work for the Climate Council, or make a generous tax-deductible donation so our volunteers can continue to educate, partner and advocate on your behalf.
Sincerely,
Bob Grove, President
Climate Council
