2023 was an amazing year for KC Can thanks to you – our customers, volunteers, supporters, and students.
Together, we diverted 1,281,010 pounds of food from the landfill, contributing to over 3,686,804 pounds in total. Our collective effort has kept 2,514,400 net pounds of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. We’ll toast to that!
Your environmental impact is just half the story!
Your composting effort directly supports Green Core Training, a program designed for individuals struggling with barriers to employment. In 2023, 77 students were educated through the program, 51 of them earned Roots of Success Certifications, and 44 earned US Department of Labor designations as “Environmental Specialists.” Our team is incredibly proud of the hard work and effort these students demonstrated.
