As part of the Trail of Mending, a roundtable discussion tiitled, “I Care As Deeply As I Feel My Roots,” will talk to environmentalists who have wisdom beyond degrees, reaching back generations, on Tuesday May 23, 2023 at 3:30 pm. You can attend in person at the Bruce R. Watkins Center or you can join virtually by registering HERE.
The 2023 Trail of Mending is a traveling examination of Kansas City’s little-known history, visiting spots where people have famously crossed boundaries to work together, and some spots that mark past division. Their stories teach us how we can do better. This horseback journey will take four days and three nights, May 23 – May 26, 2023, traveling through Kansas City from Missouri to Kansas.
If people from different backgrounds can listen to each other, then they will eventually find things to trust and love about each other, building common ground for effective work together.
