The United Nations Association of Greater Kansas City represents members in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. The UNA-GKC is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and mobilizing the Greater Kansas City Area to support the principles and vital work of the United Nations, strengthening the United Nations system, promoting constructive United States leadership, and achieving the goals of the United Nations Charter.
Involvement with UNA-GKC includes a range of benefits such as events at the UN and across the U.S., as well as opportunities to advocate, host Model UN conferences, and connect you to UN experts.
At the heart of UNA-GKC is support for the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
