Citizens Climate Lobby

On February 11th, Citizens Climate Lobby of Kansas City (CCL) held a monthly membership meeting at the Kansas City Central Library from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Stephen Melton, the Co-Leader of CCL, and 11 other members participated. The meeting recapped the members’ areas of responsibility, positive news from the past month, reminders of upcoming events, and a discussion on the CCL’s 2020 election. There was also a brief discussion of the website, newsletter, and the progress of the Twitter page.

The Citizens’ Climate Lobby website is a resource where Kansas City residents can educate themselves on a nonpartisan approach to climate change solutions. Anyone can become a volunteer and advocate for the policy action, Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act that will reduce America’s carbon emissions. The website has the opportunity for Kansas City residents to become CCL-KC volunteers with a variety of opportunities to participate in initiatives.
