Join us on Sunday, September 13th at neighborhood farms and gardens across the KC Metro for the Urban Grown Tour to connect with the local food system, learn about sustainable growing practices, and recharge in glorious green spaces across the city. Hear directly from growers about why they do what they do, what brings them joy, and ways you can get involved in building community while strengthening our local food system.
The Urban Grown Tour is one of the largest volunteer asks of the year for Cultivate KC, and such an important opportunity to educate our friends and neighbors and connect them to their local growers across Kansas City. You can help us with that mission by volunteering! Shifts last 2.5 hours so you can stay for a bit OR sign up for multiple shifts and stay for the day.
We are looking for volunteers to work registration for the 2026 Urban Grown Tour on September 13th from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Expectations/ Duties:
- Attend a short virtual training session before the tour
- Opening Shifts will set up registration tables & general site prep
- Closing Shifts will tear down and assist with general clean-up
- Greet & check in guests
- Answer general questions about the site you are at and the Urban Grown Tour
- Keep a count of visitors to the site
Volunteers will receive a free Urban Grown t-shirt and 2 tickets to the tour as a thank-you for your help!
