PREP-KC was honored with the Excellence in Impact Award from Nonprofit Connect.
| Receiving this award alongside some of Kansas City’s most accomplished nonprofit and community leaders was both humbling and energizing. And, it highlighted what can happen when a community comes together to “ignite potential” for its children and young people. We couldn’t do it without you. To our education partners, industry volunteers, and funders, thank you. Your support has connected students in our region’s urban schools to real-world learning, opened doors to new opportunities, and helped build pathways to meaningful careers. Thanks to this collective effort, the Kansas City region is seeing measurable change. The percentage of graduates earning a Market Value Asset has grown from 26% to 74%. More than 11,700 students have earned experiences such as college credit, industry credentials, internships, and client-connected projects. Each year, over 1,100 industry professionals connect students to real-world learning that develops skills and expands networks. As we celebrate this recognition, we remain focused on what comes next. Our Vision 2030 goal is clear: Every graduate from a PREP-KC partner high school will earn at least one Market Value Asset aligned with their interests and aspirations.
