Spring Fling

Spring Fling celebrates the end of Earth week by teaching the community sustainable practices to help make our parks and planet thrive! Make a positive impact through an afternoon of educational performances, hands on learning experiences, and more! This event is free and for all ages.

Event Schedule

• 12 p.m. | Recycle Show by Richard Renner the Vodvill Klown
• 1 p.m. | Green Carpet Fashion Show
• 2 p.m. | Animal Habitats by Lakeside Nature Center

Parking is free and along the street.  If accommodations or individualized supports are needed to participate, please contact Adaptive & Inclusive Services (AIR) – AIR.Services@kcmo.org.

Be In The Show

Participate in the celebration through the Green Carpet Fashion Show! Highlighting community makers of all ages and skill levels, it showcases designers who prioritize sustainability in their work. There is no fee to participate or submit a design.  Eligibility/Requirements are:

• All ages
• All skill levels
• Piece must incorporate sustainability (can be made from thrifted items, made with natural dyes, using an item considered trash as an outfit, etc.)
