While it’s about as fun as it sounds, getting your documents in order is one of the best things you can do to prepare yourself to take advantage of grants & other funding opportunities as they become available. As farming activities slow down for the season, now is a great time for farmers to… (drumroll please!)… organize your paperwork and look for opportunities!
It’s no secret that the landscape of public funding is increasingly uncertain. Not only are opportunities limited, inconsistent, and competitive, Cultivate KC has noticed a trend of shrinking application windows. This makes those opportunities even less accessible to working farmers. Getting your paperwork organized early will leave you with more time to build out a strong, standout application and plan out your next big farming project.

While each funding opportunity will have its own required paperwork, we’ve compiled a list of Common Documents Needed for Funding Applications. This includes where to find them and/or how to request them.
