Do you feel that in the air? Spring is on the way. And that means Habitat Garden Tours is around the corner!
Deep Roots 2025 tours will take place on Second Saturdays but with longer hours and an updated format to help visitors be not only be inspired but also empowered to take meaningful action.
Our motto for the year is: Do Try This at Home. To make this even easier, we’re excited to announce that a nearby native plant sale has been scheduled for each month’s tour. So you can find the plants you’ve just seen and grow them for yourself. (Do try this at home!)

What can you do now?
Sign up for information!
If you subscribed or registered last year, you’re already on the mailing list and will receive information to register for this year’s tours. If you’re unsure or attended with a friend or family member, go ahead and sign up to make sure you get the information directly.
Sign up to volunteer!
If you have a background in gardening, native plants, birds or butterflies, that is wonderful. (Master Naturalists and Master Gardeners: Please tap your networks.) But most of our volunteer positions require only a smiling face and welcoming spirit. We have opportunities available at both Habitat Garden and the Native Plant Sales.
Special bonus! We invite volunteers to a private preview of that month’s gardens on the Saturday before each tour. Meet the garden hosts and learn more about the gardens. These are not mandatory, but an opportunity to enjoy a lovely small-group experience and very enjoyable perk.
That’s it for now — updates to come as the weather warms. Looking forward to seeing you in the garden!
