Federal District Court Judge Issues Ruling on Coal Mining for Another Rebuke of Attack on Public Lands by Trump

Montana Federal District Court Judge Brian Morris ruled that the Interior Department broke federal law when it lifted former President Barack Obama’s moratorium on coal mining in public lands.   Adequate studies of the environmental impact of coal had not been ordered according to the judge.  There are now about 40 federal court rulings blocking the President from rolling back environmental and public health regulations.
